Sally’s degree is in clinical psychology with many years of advanced training in family systems, marriage counseling techniques, cognitive behavioral therapy, psychosynthesis, mindfulness meditation, MARI assessment and wholistic wellness. In addition, Sally is a Level III practitioner of Holographic Memory Resolution (HMR), a powerful self-healing technique which helps clear unresolved trauma, allowing the client to feel more fully present to the moment and achieve optimal wellness. She also has advanced certification in guided imagery and music (GIM) for release of depression, anxiety and grief and for spiritual and transpersonal exploration.
Individual, Couple and Family Therapy
Sally uses a direct, solution-based approach with effective strategies to build on the clientsʼ strengths and bring resolution to the issues. In couple therapy, Sally uses what she calls the “bottom-line” strategy to help the couple express what they need from each other and what they are willing to offer to resolve difficulties. In a few sessions, couples experience progress and then develop improved skills in communication, conflict resolution, and building intimacy.
Sally also offers intensive couples therapy meeting for several hours in one day or or over several days.

Healing Journey
What does it mean to offer services with a wholistic, spiritual based approach? To explain part of my development, both personally and professionally, let me share this story. In the fall of 1985 I went through a cancer scare which was complicated by being eight weeks pregnant with our third baby. Our sons were 6 and 3 years old. The oncologist advised us to end the pregnancy and get the treatment. My body and spirit said no. I was carrying life and I knew deep down I would be OK, and so would the baby. This started me on a journey into self-healing. I began learning about the vibrational “medicine” of visualization and music and truly about the power of prayer. Seven months later, Kate was born, our miracle baby. With minimal surgery, I was cancer free. There is more to the story as I learned more about health and wellness from a mind, body and spirit approach. Each of us carry powerful stories which help shape our views of ourselves and our world. Psychotherapy presents an opportunity to explore the stories and sometimes decide on a new storyline with a different ending.
Some couples experiencing difficulties benefit from more intensive therapy over a shorter period of time. Meeting with a therapist one hour a week over several months or years may not have resulted in the desired changes. Trying the intensive work often "shakes up" the existing system enough to allow the openings necessary to bring about radical positive changes in communication patterns, conflict resolution skills and increased emotional and sexual intimacy.
Sally can arrange to meet with you for intensive work for several hours in one day or over several days in a week or month at both of her locations. She will also travel to your location to meet for intensive sessions over several days.
Building on her years of experience, Sally has a successful track record for helping couples get clear about what they need and how to proceed. Sometimes this means making a plan for how to rebuild or reboot the marriage. Sometimes it means deciding on divorce.
Even if you decide that it is best to end the marriage, meeting intensively allows you to better understand what happened and clears the way to promote a better separation and divorce process, setting the foundation for forgiveness and moving on. For couples who have children this process is well worth the cost to work better together as co-parents even if your children are adults. This intensive process, though initially expensive, has proven to reduce the total costs of a disputed divorce.
More important than money are the personal understandings that result from this hard work. Sally's style of not taking sides or engaging in blame or shame helps each person to own their own story and take responsibility for their part.
For couples who are committed to working things out and improving their relationship, intensive work can often be the solution to "jump start" change and bring about lasting improvements. You both deserve to have your heart's desires.
